Given the feedback I have seen from some sites, NeXT ought to release a  
point release (3.0a, 3.1, etc...) soon.

Anyone who strongly feels that NeXT should release 3.1 this year (December  
time frame) should write to ask_next@next.com and let your opinion be  
heard.
