You've got to be kidding? Just because you have some interactive debugging tools thrown into Borland C++ (a good portion of which are now integrated into edit/Project manager) your going to call that a better DEVELOPEMENT platform?!!! Aint no way. Maybe its better for debugging (which I still might argue), but definatly not development. Make two identical apps on DOS and on a NeXT; the NeXT version will be done faster, and with more features. The fact that a particular compilations takes less time on DOS machine is not relevant because the overall time of DEVELOPMENT will be significantly greater on a DOS platform. Not to mention that the NeXT has a lot more to compile with included appkit stuff; on DOS you compile only what you've coded. Also as far as debugging goes-In edit you can now see runtime realtime object and instances of an app, just by ckicking through a browser (this is a real object benefit). Its much like appinspector but integrated. Well thats my $0.02. later, John
