I was a little confused too.  I've been using Framemaker 3.0.1 for about a month
and a half (after a year of happily using 2.0) and it hasn't yet crashed or logged
me out(!).  I really find what you say a little hard to believe.

Could you please present the conditions under which Framemaker has crashed on 
you?
