If I had a package that was across a number of platforms, MOST of my effort and new design would be on that platform that sold the most, irregardless of the lack of elegance on that platform. I gotta eat, pay my employees and survive until tomorrow. A company the size of Word Perfect would go broke if they concentrated on putting all the newest bells and whistles on one of their smallest platforms (by sales), while their competitors ate away at their `cash cow' by questioning their commitment to Windows in all the rags.
