Newsgrazer doesn't work

Newsgrazer will only work on one of our machines.  There is a central nntp  
server in the building which the preferences are set to point to, but when  
run on two of the machines, newsgrazer consistently comes up with "no new  
articles".  But things work fine when run on our cube (all the computers  
were given access to the news server).  Newsgrazer is set up exactly the  
same on each of the machines as far as I can tell. 

Does anyone have some idea of what differences between systems could cause  
this?
