This isn't a big issue but it is one that I'm seeing lot of and it annoys me.   
With the color well, please don't resize the well so that there's only a 2-5  
pixel well where the color is shown.  It's really hard to see in black and  
white (and ugly looking, to me) and hard to use when it's that small.  Now that  
the drag and drop functionality is being used in more places it's really  
important that applications have wide areas where objects can be dropped onto  
or dragged from accurately with one drag of the mouse.

I think a good size for the color well is the size that you drag off of the  
palette in IB.

Lastly, if you use the standard color well, there's no need for a "Color..."  
button near it (as in Preferences app).  The border of the color well and the  
menu choice are enough to get to the panel.
