Why doesn't 2,4 up printing come standard in standard NeXT environment?
It would be nice when you choose *print* in the menu, there is a place
you could click so that you had the option of 1,2,4 up printing.
I believe there are postscript filters for doing this so this
doesn't sound difficult; or am I missing something?

It would be nice if all NeXTstep apps came with this option.
(esp. Terminal, mma, Draw, TeXview, etc.)

Just wondering out loud.....

I don't know about TeXview, but the other 3 apps you mention all have
this feature. Its in the format->page layout menu choice. Preview
doesn't have it, which is annoying. Neither does WordPerfect, but
then that's hardly surprising. Much too obvious.

You're right, though, it probably should be a print panel option
rather than (or perhaps in addition to) a page layout option.
