I read in the HELP file that you can have different .newsrc groups for different NNTP sites. Is there an easier way to specify what NNTP site you want to use? Right now, I go into the Preferences, select the server, then have to quit Newsgrazer, and start it again. Is there something simple I am missing? Thanks very much for your time. -- ************************************************************************** * John Burke * * jburke@bodacious.csc.wsu.edu * * jburke@wsuaix.csc.wsu.edu * **************************************************************************

What I generally do is use the dwrite command from a Unix shell program and launch NewsGrazer that way -- so I have a number of "launchers" which set the default and then run NewsGrazer -- in fact, it is perfectly possible to have a number of grazers set up to different sites.. A simple shell would just be something like: #!/bin/csh -f /usr/bin/dwrite NewsGrazer NewsGrazerNNTPServer blah.blah.edu /LocalApps/NewsGrazer.app/NewsGrazer /usr/bin/dwrite NewsGrazer NewsGrazerNNTPServer return.to.original.setting.edu -- schmotsignature.
