Dear Jeff and others in search of the Mac Emulator, Our Mac emulator is called "Executor" (ig-zeck'-you-tor). An executor is one who supervises the reallocation of resources that formerly belonged to an individual who is now deceased. Some people pronounce Executor as "ex'-a-cute-or", an obsolete form of executioner; I guess our ".appl" icon may be reinforcing that misconception. Oh, but where would we be without playful ambiguity? The best place to get the demo version of Executor is unmvax.cs.unm.edu:pub/ardi/DEMO/Executor-DEMO4.tar The latest version of the demo is always guaranteed to be there. You can also get it from cs.orst.edu and sonata.cc.purdue.edu, but unmvax.cs.unm.edu is where new versions appear first. If you're using NeXTSTEP 3.0, make sure that you get version "4" or greater of the demo. For those of you with Executor on backorder, I sincerely apologize for the delay. We only recently started advertising Executor in NeXTWorld and also only recently began selling it through dealers (ask you local dealer). We sold so many copies in such a short time that we ran out of binders. We placed an order for a new run of binders many weeks ago and they're due in sometime this week. We thank you for your patronage if you got your order in early and your patience (and your patronage) if you're waiting. --Cliff[ord T. Matthews] Abacus R&D, Inc.
