FORTRAN- and Pascal-Compiler

Hello people out there in NeXTland,

I am a student and for my studies I need a FORTRAN- as well as a
Pascal-Compiler for my NeXT-machine, because my professors don't want to
believe, that it makes more sense to learn NeXTSTEP-programming or
Objective-C
Does anybody know, whether there exists software, maybe free of charge ?
Has anybody made experience with it ?

I heard, that there is a Pascal-Compiler for students for the price of
150 US-$, but I don't know, where to order.

It's not necessary, that these compilers support NeXTSTEP-programming.

Or what about the Absoft-FORTRAN-Compiler ? Is there a special offer for
students? Hey, it's christmas time !!

Thanks in advance,

Stephan Jaeger

For pascal you should get the excellent pascal to c compiler. It
produces C code and then you compile the C code. It works very
well. In the past I have compiled it on both a System V machine and
a BSD one and I expect it to work without much trouble on a Next.

It handles several dialects of Pascal, including Turbo Pascal, HP Pascal,
and VMS Pascal.

Was the original poster in Germany? Here are several places that have the
compiler, called p2c which archie provided:
