Austin Kyoto Common Lisp - Installation problem

I am trying to install AKCL (Austin Kyoto Common Lisp) Version (1.586) -- the binary version from the archives -- but get the following error message: /usr/local/bin/kcl: /usr/local/lib/kcl/saved_kcl: cannot execute Everything seems to be in the right directories, with proper permissions. Any advice welcome.
