You don't need the ladder! Do you know that you can stand on top of the  
gremlins? You'll need this later too.

What you do is run ahead of the two gremlins (they'll need to be a few  
paces apart) and climb the right ladder that is already there to get on  
the hand rail. Wait for the first gremlin to run up to you and just when  
he/she crosses under the gap under between the middle and right hand  
rails, move to the left. Because you'll momentarily be standing on the  
gremlim you wont fall down and so can get to the middle rail. Do the same  
to get to the left rail using the other gremlim. Kind of a hair-raising  
stunt, but it works!

Anyone know how to get to all six coins in the boxed in area smack in the  
middle of screen 6? Thats where I'm stuck. I can get all but the  
upper-right most two in the box.

Cool game. Requires quite a bit of thought too. And patience.

you need to learn to walk across the bad guys heads.
in this case its easy, later on it gets more and more challenging.

make sure 2 guys are following you, go to the short stubby ladder on
the right of the middle block of the lowest level. climb to the top
and wait. just as the first guy is about to reach you, step across his 
head and hang from the little pole.  repeat for the next gap.

the higher levels are even more time consuming (wasting)
quit now and get back to your thesis! (me too :)

go to the top of the center box, jump in just after the bad guy drops by.
while falling, shoot all the bricks to the right. fall through the black
hole (its alright to stand on their heads while you both fall).
the second time through the shoot, jump to the right to get the coin
at the top. go stand on the ladder near the top. then quickly shoot a brick,
move down a bit and shoot the next brick. repeat to the bottom of the ladder.

then run like hell to scoop up up the coins, climb to the top of the rightmost ladder,
and get out before the bricks close in on you. you have to be fast and accurate through
the whole process or you will be bricked in like in a Poe novel - no mistakes allowed.

this standing and dropping on their heads theme appears again (hint hint)

has anybody figured out how to get past the top left hand corner of level 7?
