Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a version of Scheme, preferably public-domain, that's available for the NeXT. Please respond via e-mail to schmcker@galois.uoregon.edu Thanks in advance, Steven Schmucker.

I've used both M.I.T.-Scheme and SCM on a NeXT (NS 3.0). Gambit might also work. All these implementations are available from altdorf.mit.edu. Thorsten <ohl@physics.harvard.edu>

Scheme is available from altdorf.ai.mit.edu. Schematik is a front-end to MIT Scheme for NeXTs; it comes complete with MIT Scheme, so that installing it is in fact also the simplest way to install MIT Scheme. It is available from ftp.gac.edu and ftp.informatik.uni-muenchen.de (European users). There is also a commercial Scheme implementation that supposedly conforms to an IEEE Scheme standard. The best is Schematik from Gustavus Adolphus College, at ftp.gac.edu. In pub/next/scheme -- Schematik-1.1.5.1.tar.Z. It contains the latest version of MIT-Scheme and has extensions for graphics and robotics. The source is also there.
