If I scan something, it usually turns out to be a 1042x1130 picture, or something ungodly like that. How can I scale it down, KEEPING THE ASPECT RATIO, to something that is smaller? And no, I didn't pirate it. I use the NeXTs at the university, and I can't find the manuals for it. Thanks. -- Sam Hulick %%% E-mail: shulick@indiana.edu (including NeXT mail) %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% "...Rain... My face feels the wet, my mind the storm." --Queensryche

One of the inspector panels on scan-X has a resolution tag. Change the resolution to a higher number to make the image shrink. 2. A similar option can be done with Scene. 3. Get the pbm series of utilities and run the following pipe: tifftopnm filename | pnmscale -s scalefactor | pnmtotiff > newfilename
