Here's a nice symbiosis, which I offer up as a tip: In trying to make a Diagram! (showing an angular momentum coupling scheme) I found it necessary to use as labels text objects which were heavily laden with mathematics. For example, subscripts in Greek, "twiddle" marks over characters, etc. I found it very convenient to use EquationBuilder to make up these labels, one at a time, and use the "Copy As EPS" menu item to put a label into the pasteboard. Then clicking and pasting in the Diagram! app, it only involved moving the label to its final position and, perhaps, re-sizing (if necessary). [I chose to make all my labels the same point size, so set that size in the EqB font panel.] You don't even need to go through the expense of saving things in files. Dick Silbar

EquationBuilder is great for this (I just bought my own copy as well) but it does cost $ and in all fairness it's worth pointing out that you can do this *for free* using NeXT-TeX and its new "make into EPS file" option (included in dvips5485 or higher) or as a service with Derek Beatty's TeXice, available on the archives. The only thing you can't do as well is to resize if there are any math symbols because TeX makes bitmaps of them and the resizing gives you the "jaggies". Just a few months ago the NeXT's inability to accomplish tasks like this was a real weak point, but now, wiht EqB, TeXice, loTeX and the upcoming versoin of NeXT-TeX it's one of NeXT's real strengths. Tom PS: Helpful hint to those trying to learn TeX, or who find it someone arcane, check out loTeX off the archives.Lots of helpful features.

I haven't played with the TeX EPS feature yet, but I do have EqB and put some equations into Diagram and resized them to "very large" (as a test) and printed them out. As Sarg (of "No Time for Sargarets") would say-"Smmooooooootttthhhh!"
