Mounting external drives (slight clarification)

If you've read my "what's the scoop" post, then I should
clarify one point...

If I telnet to the NeXT when it's at the login screen, I can't
"see" the external drives after logging in. This is typically the
situation in the evening when I'm dialing in from home to one of the
computing centre's Suns and then telnetting to the NeXT.

But if I'm already logged in at the keyboard (and see the
external drive icons on the browser shelf), then I _can_ "see" the
external drives when I telnet to the NeXT.

So it's like there's something different about the way the
system mounts drives when logging in at the keyboard versus logging in
via telnet...

Thanks again for any suggestions. (Sorry for being so
long-winded. I'm sort of thinking this through as I write, which is
perhaps not the best approach...!)

	Michael.
