Sure, no problem, it's work fine. (since 11 month)
You don't need absolutely IDA if you have only one feed (NeXT old sendmail work  
fine, with minor modifications) but you NEED it when you want to do a correct  
gateway on NeXT. (UUCP / TCP-IP ...)
