| Has anyone else experienced problems with mounting
| optical disks in a NextCube running v3.0.
|
| Ever since I updated to 3.0 I couldn't load
| any of my backup optical disks. I know the
| drive is fine because I can log in as root
| and screw around with the fsck and mount commands
| until I finally get it to not spit out the disk.
| Then it'll mount fine and I can access all the info on
| the optical disk. I need to power down and power up
| in order to eject the disk. disk -e doesn't work
| on the optical drive.
|
| Has anyone else seen this problem ?

I haven't had a single problem with Opticals under 3.0 - and I also had backups
as well as other important info on about six different disks all formatted
under 2.1, 2.2 and 2.2a

However, when the System panics, I do end up Repairing any disk that is
inserted (the repair is as expected, but the panic is not :-(
