I have tried to post this two days ago, but it seems I was not succesful.

Has anybody tried to hook up the Toshiba CD-ROM that SGI provide
for their machine to a NeXT.

I have connected one to my machine but it recognize it as a
read/write device (type 0) and is assigned(?) device sd2.

I am unable to mount the CD-ROM either using mount or CDROM.util.

I have also tried to do a mode sense using Charles Chambers tools
but I get an error.

Any pointer would be much appreciated.
