cron on my machine does not seem to be working

Hi:
I have the following commands appended to my /usr/adm/daily

# ------
# Perform daily backup to internal hard disk (/SCSI1/Backup)
cp -r /users /SCSI1/Backup
echo "Backup done on "`date` | mail -s "Daily Backup Report" wjabi
# ------

This used to work under NeXTStep 2.*
Since I upgraded to 3.0 I noticed that it neither does
the copy nor the e-mail. I don't think it is consulting
the file at all. Anyone knows why?

I checked cron, permissions, files, etc., Couldn't find
anything wrong with them, what am I missing? here they are:

libra> ps -aux | grep cron
wjabi      195   1.0  0.6 1.52M  208K p1 S     0:00 grep cron
root       132   0.0  0.8 1.51M  256K ?  S     0:00  (cron)
libra> 

libra> cd /etc
libra> ls -al cron*
-rw-r--r--  1 root         236 Dec  9  1991 crontab

libra> cat crontab
0,15,30,45 * * * *      root /usr/lib/atrun
0 2 * * *       root  /bin/sh /usr/adm/daily >/usr/adm/daily.log 2>&1
30 3 * * 6      root  /bin/sh /usr/adm/weekly >/usr/adm/weekly.log 2>&1
30 5 1 * *      root  /bin/sh /usr/adm/monthly >/usr/adm/monthly.log 2>&1
libra> 

libra> cd /usr/adm
libra> ls -al daily
-rw-rw-r--  1 root        1046 Oct  8 16:35 daily
