I had a cable from Nextconnection as well. They said it was the correct modem cable,
and supported hardware flow control. This was not the case, and I had to get 
a custom cable. Cable companies are in FAQ peripherals. After I had the 
cable made, the Supra worked fine. Check the pinouts of the Nectconnection one
against those found in Sys and Network Admin manual pages.
