Some quick back-pedaling is in order here:
I have been informed that I'm also a bit off. Apparently NeXTOS is built
atop a particular revision of Mach (2.[23]) and is not really a micro-kernel
OS.
At least in this regard, it is very similar to SunOS. (Thank goodness it's
not similar in some other aspects ;-)
I took my (limited) knowledge about what Mach claims to be and the fact that
NeXTOS is built upon Mach - the unfortunate discrepancy in Mach's history
caused the problem.
Now, I didn't claim to be an OS/kernel guru, so I can get away with this
mistake, right? ;-)
