Howdy, I have a mono NeXTstation hooked up to the Internet via SLIP. I have working NeXTMail, but it's kind of a hack since my SLIP server doesn't give out permanent IP addresses. I receive all my mail to another machine, and have a shell script that periodically brings up the SLIP connection and copies my mailbox file over to my machine. I have a problem with bouncing mail: it doesn't. When I send a mail message to a non-existant address, I never hear from it again. I believe this is because the address in the "From:" field in my email messages and usenet posts is bogus. My correct address is in the "Reply-to:" field. When a message bounces does it automatically try to return to the "From:" field? Can I make it return to the "Reply-to:" field by changing my sendmail.cf file or something? Any help is appreciated. -- Mikael Behrens mbehrens@cs.utexas.edu (NeXTMail OK) Computer Science student University of Texas at Austin
