We have an external A/D SCSI device connected to our cube. Every time a user logs in, they get an alert panel saying: "unreadable SCSI device: Initialize? or Ignore?". Under NeXTStep 2.1, we had disabled this with an entry in fstab of the form: /dev/sd2a "/Untitled" ignore noauto,rw,noquota 1 2 which seemed to work just fine. Now that we upgraded to 3.0, that solution seems no longer to be adequate. Any ideas out there on how we could get the NeXT to stop asking us about that device every time we log in? Any info would be appreciated. thanks, xns@nwu.edu
