Why won't my Next print to Sun printer?

I can print to other nexts with no problem, and even to a gatorbox.
But when I try to print to a sun, the file just sits in the queue in the
"active" slot.  The sun's local printer error log says:

ps: %%[ Error: timeout; OffendingCommand: timeout ]%%

Any ideas?  Here's the next's printcap:
