We have had a color turbo do this repeatedly - once when it arrived to be
used as a demo in our booth at a show! The first several times, NeXT sent
Motorola out to exchange the motherboard(!). Then Paula in tech support at
NeXT had us try pulling the battery, leaving it out for a half hour, then
re-installing it. Voila!

It's nice that we can now get it back up and running when it exhibits this
behavior. It's a little annoying that it wants to play possum from time to
time though.

We have a monochrome slab (non-turbo) that has had a similar ailment but
that too had the motherboard replaced. Perhaps the battery trick would
have worked on it as well.
