Second, either buy NFS client software for the Macs, or buy Appleshare server software for the NeXT. We are considering uShare (in the 3rd party catalog) to do this very thing. Furthermore, we are considering adding an external hard drive to the NeXT, formatted as a Mac drive, and using it for the uShare volume (under NeXTSTEP 3.0). That way, if we choose, we can always unplug the drive and plug it into any Mac, and everything still works. We already run uShare on a Sun server and use it as a file server to our Macs. Can't see why running the NeXT version would be any different. -- NeXTmail preferred! -- --- root root@dtint.dtint.com Digital Technology Int.
