This has been bugging me also and it's related to the
%%BoundingBox: and the %%Pages: identifier directly above it. I
don't have time to look up what %%Pages: (atend) means so I just
deleted it from the LaserWriter (v7.x) driver and deleted the
"offending" %%BoundingBox: line, too. I've found that the
PostScript file will print with the "bad" %%BoundingBox:. Do the
following at your own risk--although it works for me.

Back up "LaserWriter" in System Folder:Extensions
Launch ResEdit
Open "LaserWriter"
Open up resource POST
Open up POST id -8158
Scroll down until you see Command #21 and edit it. (i.e. you
should see a template for the above PostScript commands
as well as those for %%PageBoundingBox and %%For:.)
Save "LaserWriter"

That's all. Subsequent PostScript files written by this modified
LaserWriter will print correctly on the NeXT--i.e. no longer
crashes npd.
