mail domain name question

I've set up uucp & c-news on my standalone station, but I have a problem
with mail. My "From:" address is incorrect. It goes out as
"andrew@wire" instead of "andrew@wire.gwinnett.com"...apparently
upstream sites are playing with the name, so I end up with something
that works, but certainly doesn't match my actual address. Can
anyone help me with this? (Does it have something to do with the
fact that I'm not the mail server?)

Thanks.
