Hi netters!

Has anyone out there installed a Maxtor P0-12S (rev LB22) drive on a NeXT?
(the machine is a 040 cube used as a server and running 2.1J). The drive was
properly recognized, initialized, mounted and exported by the system...
BUT... After copying the directories to the new destination using gnutar I
used "diff -r" and discovered some files that did not match the original.
Only very long files like a 12Mbyte .tar.Z file and soundfiles. The drive is
properly terminated (by the way, removing the termination did not make any
difference!) and I did tests with only that drive in the SCSI chain and also
adding a CD-ROM drive in the middle. I also sdform'ed the drive with no
apparent improvement.

Any help appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
Fernando
