I was recently able to setup uucp on my 040 Nextstation with ATI 9600etc/e
modem.  uucp outgoing and incoming calls along with user logins work fine.
(this was quite a feat for me since I'm no sysadmin :-)

However, I now find I can't access the modem through regular comm programs
that I have (like Icomm).  I don't remember seeing any locked files in
.../uucp/LCK so I assume getty is doing something strange?

I'm using ttyda and I believe also cua.
