I am able to change the SystemBeep to any sound I like using the Preferences tool. However, after I logout and log in again, my choice is ignored and the SystemBeep is back to the default. Nevertheless, dread tells me that my choice is still as I selected, for example: mcs-next-10> dread -n SystemBeep NeXT1 SystemBeep /LocalLibrary/Sounds/Cow Any ideas as to what the problem is?. -- Angel Puerta puerta@camis.stanford.edu
