NextStep 3.0 on 8M/105+105 system?

Hoping this isn't something that's been discussed before.

I have an 8M/105 25MHz '040 system, with another external 105M drive,
running 2.1. Needless to say, it's a bit slow, but I'm a patient
person. I'm running Louis Mamakos' SLIP on it.

I'm looking into putting 3.0 on it. It's not likely I'll be able to
get more memory or more disk space in the near term. So what I'm
wondering is this:

(1) Is it physically possible to cram a reasonable minimal 3.0 system
onto two separate 105M drives? If so, would I be able to do it with the
Installer, or would I have to do the install on a larger filesystem
and copy bits and pieces by hand?

(2) I realize that 3.0 is going to run slower than 2.0, especially on
an 8M system. But is it going to be so outrageous as not to make any
sense? (I typically don't have more than a couple apps, plus the
Workspace, open at once.)

Thanks.
