Is there any way to work with such files?
Currently, only files with data forks are accessible.

Thanks for advance, Ingo.

Sadly, no. You can still use FloppyWorks from DIT however.

According to NeXT it was a design decision based on UNIX file system
limitations. There are plans to have both forks available in future
NeXTSTEP releases which contain enhanced file systems.

***********************************************************************
"/NextLibrary/Documentation/NextAdmin/MixedNet.rtfd" says the following:

"Apple files are made up of a data fork, a resource fork, or both. The data
fork holds the file contents, while the resource fork includes system
information, such as the name of the application used to create the file. On a
NeXT computer, a data fork appears with the same file name as on the AppleShare
server, while resource forks appears as .filename.rsrc. For example, a file
named Milestones that has both a data fork and a resource fork will appear on a
NeXT computer as Milestones and .Milestones.rsrc".
***********************************************************************

I have found that (under 3.0 PR2--I don't yet have the real release) the
resource fork file (ending in .rsrc) is not shown in the file browser.
However, you can copy it just fine from a terminal shell.
