I have seen this asked before, but did not get to see any answers.
I have the following aliases and want the FROM line in outgoing
messages to reflect them:

info@pyrian.com
uucp-ez@pyrian.com
Ian_Stewart@pyrian.com

these are forwarded to the login account name

ian

for each item received, how do I set the alias out?
Also is the NeXT sendmail.cf case sensitive?
I have seen things like

Mac Person <Mac_Person@NeXT.COM>,

but I mail to

mac_person@next.com 

and it gets there.

Any info is appreciated.

Get a newer sendmail version with the ida enhancement (it is worth the
trouble) and build a xalias file. Then you can have "generic froms".

No, sendmail is not case sensitive. All lookups done in the dbm datafiles
are first fold to lowercase.
