Will the basic 3.0 release fit on a 105 MB drive?

I am experiencing fan problems with my 1.2GB external boot drive and
may have to take it out of service for a while. What is the best
strategy for maintaining a minimal configuration during its absence?
I have a CD-ROM drive and a 105 MB internal (which is presently doing
service as a swapdisk); when I ultimately receive 3.0, will I be able
to boot from the CD-ROM, or is it possible (and preferable) to install
the basic release on the internal drive?

Thanx in advance for any suggestions/advice,

/jim

I don't know about booting from the CD-ROM, but you will be able to make a
basic release 3.0 on the 105MB HD. You'll be able to install all the language
material and have about 13MB free on it, if I remember right. I tried this (my
situation is similar: 1GB main HD and 105MB swapdisk) and it ran fine. I
wouldn't do anything major with it (swapping might be a problem), but it should
run well enough to use.
