ZyXEL Modem doesn't like faxes???

Hi all!

I have a strange problem with our ZyXEL U1496 Modem. Whenever a fax is
received, I get a lot of errors like "Premature EOF at scanline 1083" AND
the fax itself is crippled, to be exact: it seems to be downscaled with
the factor 2.5. And so a 12pt font becomes a 3pt point!!!

I have tried to set NXMeassurementUnit to Inches and Centimeters but that
doesn't seem to change anything.

Has anonye an idea, what I'm doing wrong or what's going on?

Many thanks in advance,
Bernhard

ZyXEL had a few ROM versions that didnt fax correctly with NeXT computers.
If you are a NeXT owner, they will provide a free ROM upgrade (I believe) but
even if not free, its cheap (around $25).
you need version 5.01 or higher.
use the ati command to find out the ROM version.
call tech support at (714)693-0705 in the US for the upgrade
