After upgrading to 3.0, I noticed that /usr/local/etc/websterd (as obtained from cs.indiana.edu, /pub/webster) no longer works. After a little detective work I discovered this could be fixed by copying the old dictionary files from the 2.1 OD (Dictionary.nxbf and Thesaurus.nxbf) back into the regular locations (/NextLibrary/Refrences/ Webster-[Dictionary,Thesaurus]). (The filenames of the new versions don't have the .nxbf suffix, so both versions can coexist.) Anyway, that's OK as a workaround, but... is there any word of a new version of websterd that can access the new dictionary format? -- = Seth Tisue (tisue@csnext.uchicago.edu) (NeXT mail welcome) = U.S. Mail: c/o Plaster Cramp Press, P.O.
