That ole' boot "exception" problem

A friend of mine just got an 040 'turbo' upgrade for his old (030) cube, and
is having the boot problem (exception 5, I think). I recall seeing some
documentation from NeXT when we did our upgrades describing what to do when
this happened (going from 030's to 040's, 2.X OS), something like rewriting
the boot block with "disk -b ..." Can anyone jog my memory a bit more?

Thanks!
