Hello,
Has anyone installed the identd properly on their next system?
I have made several attempts. My entries look like this
/etc/services (yes its niloaded):
ident 113/tcp auth
/etc/inetd.conf:
ident stream tcp nowait kmem /usr/etc/identd identd
I tried sys instead of kmem, I tried setgid kmem on identd. I also tried
setgid sys on identd. Everytime I try the test program I get this:
system says host is 129.32.1.21
authuser says host is 129.32.1.21
system says username is pcwood
authd cannot figure out your username
Any clues?
