SLIP question
#1857

I installed SLIP from the SLIP_920904 distribution on my
NeXTstation mono running 2.1. When it tries to patch the
kernel from rc.local the machine simply hangs. Any ideas?
Am I using the wrong version of SLIP for 2.1?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You are using the correct version for Release 2.1.

The machine likely hangs a little bit later, rather then when it
patches the kernel. The most likely cause is that you have your
machine configured as part of a NetInfo network, and its trying to
bind to a netinfo master on the network. Ensure that this is not
the case, and thinks will likely work better.
