How to rdump from remote NeXT to my WangDat backup tape ?

I'm backing up my hard disks for the holidays (what better way to  
celebrate ?) and want to dump the hard disk contents from a NeXt machine  
down the hallway.  rdump says it can't open the device up.  Can anyone  
advise me on how to get rdump to work over the net ?  Thanks
