our novell crew gave me my own login on one of their servers so I can 
print from my NeXT to their HPIIsi, it works fine.

but, they tell me I should also be able to log on as guest.  is there
some reason the NeXT doesn't seem to like this ?  if I login as guest,
no passwd, I get authentication failure or some such message after a
30 second or 1 min timeout.

I don't pretend to know anything about novell (nor do I want to), but
in certain places on our campus, the novell lab has the laser printer
the NeXT users want to get to.
