UserManager fails during creation of new net user
#2244

Upon creating my first new user account since upgrading to 3.0, I run across
the following problem: After confirming the password and confirming that I
wish to create the user's home directory, I get the following Alert panel:

/etc/nulib/nu2.sh /home/class/toby "34" "62" 0 0
English

No such file or directory

And when I hit OK, the account is not created, nor is the new user entry
saved (i.e., the user panel shows an incomplete 'x' in the box), but an entry
does exist in the user list for the '/' domain.

Can someone tell me what this is telling me? Am I missing a language
directory somewhere or something?

Thanks!!

I found my own answer to this one: The nu program does not communicate an
error to the user when it cannot create the new user's home directory (due to
permissions, for ex.), but instead produces an error at a later point in the
process when it attempts to access files that it has supposedly copied into
that directory.

This is relatively minor, but it would be nice if there were a bit more error
checking done.
