Repairing bad magnetic SCSI disk blocks?

Hello:

I have a NeXT with a SEAGATE ST1480 400MB scsi disk. The disk has
been getting "bread" errors a couple blocks of the disk (for
example, from /usr/adm/messages:)

	Jul 27 13:57:30 arrakis mach: SCSI Block in error = 482444; Partition a F.S. sector 241062

And the machine crashes with SCSI errors ever more frequently.
Is there a utility I can use to map out the bad blocks on
this disk? It seems like /usr/etc/disk is the right utility,
but the "bad" command only seems to work on opticals. Is
there another utility that will do this, or is my only option
to replace the disk? Thanks.
