Am I missing the /usr/include/machine/pte.h file? Or does the NeXT not
come with one? If it does, and I just don't have it, where could I get a copy
of it?

The NeXT does not come with one.  Instead, it has the (radically
different) /usr/include/machine/pmap.h.
