When setting up SLIP (with Louis's DialUp-IP) the ifconfig fials
becuase there does not seem to be a

	slip0

interface. Here is the error message

ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCGIFFLAGS): no such interface

How do I build the slip0 interface? I couldn't find it in the (RT)FM.

Thanks for the assistance.

You did run the /usr/dialupip/config/rc.slip script as root, or had it
invoked at boot time from /etc/rc.local, right? The invocation of
/usr/dialupip/bin/tcldiald the first time will cause the kernel driver
to be loaded.

Ensure that the loadable kernel driver actually got loaded. Look at
the syslog messages in /usr/adm/message and /usr/dialupip/log/syslog.
Also, ensure that you have not deleted /usr/lib/libkernload.a which is
needed to relocate and load kernel drivers.
