Greeting NeXTers:

I am curious whether or not I can set up my mailer on my NeXT to filter or
kill mail from either a person (address) or subject. This would come in
very handy, and I would very much hearing from someone who can shed some
light on this question and tell me how to go about this.

Thanks in advance.

Joe

Sure. Pick up a copy of the latest version of procmail (2.1, I believe).
This handles filtering beautifully, and can even work as an effective
MTA, delivering mail under even the most arduous circumstances.

Find it in your favorite comp.sources.misc archive.

If you pick up Chip Salzenberg's "deliver" package that appeared in
comp.sources.reviewed, you will have what you want.

This question really belonged in comp.mail.somethingOrOther, since
it doesn't really have to do with NeXTs as such. Please, folks,
let's reserve this newsgroup for NeXT-specific sysadmin questions!
