Hallo, can anybody recommend a good PostScript-RIP for the Canon Color Laser Copier 300? I am working for some architects who recently purchased such a machine with a Canon Rip F 231700 (I don't know, if that's the correct name, that number is on a little sticker on the back of the RIP). They want to use the setup to print out brochures including scanned color images and CAD-drawings. They are not really happy with what they have now, because apperently the RIP refuses to work with certain color images and also the color quality and resolution is not as good as the copier manages when just copying. As I understand color copiers they have a scanner and a printer built in, so the output quality when just printing should be higher than when copying ( scanning and printing). So I assume the RIP isn't doing a proper job here. Am I right here and does anybody know of any better RIP for the Canon 300 ? If there isn't any better RIP for this machine, does anybody know of a better color printer (A3) ? -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ernst Kloecker phone: ++49-30-6181635 e-mail: ernst@cs.tu-berlin.de -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
