Is there any way to make it so that only a root process can retrieve
any information from NetInfo? I had originally thought that just by chaning
the permissions on niload/nidump I would be okay, but then I found this
program "pwget" that shows the password file. Any ideas?

Nope, no way to do it that I have heard of. The getpwxxx() calls will always work for anyone under netinfo. -- David Lemson (217) 244-1205 University of Illinois NeXT Campus Consultant / CCSO NeXT Lab System Admin Internet : lemson@uiuc.edu UUCP :...!uiucuxc!uiucux1!lemson NeXTMail accepted BITNET : LEMSON@UIUCVMD
